Airport – Negombo

Negombo city, Fish market, dutch fort, Angurukaaramulla Temple, fishermans bay, St. Mary’s Church, Dutch Canal, Fishes drying on the beach.

Day 3

Negombo – Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

It’s the world’s first elephant orphanage established to feed, nurse and house young elephants lost or abandoned. Visitors at the orphanage could see the baby elephants being fed milk from gigantic feeding bottles, definitely an unforgettable sight! The sanctuary is spread over 25 acres of lush forest with a wide river flowing through it.


Day 4


Sigiriya rock fortress

We continue to the citadel of Sigiriya, founded over 1500 years ago, which is one of the most remarkable creations in the world. The king transformed a 200m rock into an impregnable fortress. Today the site offers the visitor a chance to see the world famous gallery of 5th century frescoes and the patricide kings palace on the summit. We climb the Sigiriya Hilltop fortress for stunning views to the forests below.

Minneriya National park

Minneriya 24 species of Mammals have been recorded from the park. In addition to having a very large population of Elephants in the park, Minneriya also has all other big game like Leopards, Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Wild Buffalo, Wild Pig, Grey Langers, Purple-faced Leaf Monkey, three species of Mongoose, Porcupine & Indian Pangolin.


Day 5

Dambulla – Dambulla cave temple

The fascination of these caves is not only the statues but also the many intricate and delicate paintings that cover the ceiling and walls, created with indigenous traditional paints.

Dambulla Rock Temple which was built by King Walagambahu in the 1st century BC. Dambulla is world heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of 5 caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceiling is the largest area of paintings round in the world. The caves contain over 150 images of Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters.

Spice Garden – Kandy

Drive to Kandy via one of Sri Lanka’s famous spice gardens before continuing to Kandy, a pleasant mountain town lying 500m above sea level, and the most spiritual town on the island. Later visit the lake; along with some local handicrafts, before witnessing a classic Kandyan cultural dance show. Early evening, in time for the evening pooja, we visit the Temple of the Tooth, housing a relic from the Lord Buddha which was collected from his funeral pyre and brought to Sri Lanka over 1500 years ago.

Kandy – Nuwara Eliya by train

Nuwara Eliya, also known as ‘Little’ England’, was the favorite hill station of the British who tried to create the resort into a typical English Village. The old brick Post office, country house like hill club, with its hunting pictures, mounted hunting trophies and fish, and it’s strict formal dinner attire; the 18 hole golf course, race course etc., evoke nostalgia of Colonial British Ceylon.

Day 7

Nuwara Eliya – Horten plains – Nuwara Eliya

World’s End / Waterfalls – HORTON PLAINS NATIONAL PARK, Sri Lanka is undoubtedly one of the world’s best nature reserves. Spanning approximately 10,000 hectares the park is also home to a wide variety of flora

Day 8

Nuwara Eliya – Kithulgala  ( White water rafting )

Experience White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River, covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. This activity is for anyone above the age of 10 years with safety gear, modern rafts, and a comprehensive safety briefing will be given by our white water rafting instructors beforehand.


Day 9


It has a long broad sandy beach, at its best during the October to April holiday season, with safe swimming – although red warning flags fly when currents are too strong. There are some fine beach side hotels, which also have swimming pools, as well as guest houses to suit all budgets close to the carefully planned developed area.
